Some serious off-roading in bad weather conditions... ... but these sturdy vehicles take you everywhere! The off-roading is followed by jungle trekking... ... and some people have to carry all the stuff to the wedding! Dusun with his wakid carrier basket. Spectacular views await you during the trekking - if you have the time to enjoy them, that is! First we saw a traditional house - the roof is made of atap palm leaves and it has recently been patched. Finally, the house of the bride! A surprise in the jungle! The gongs call everyone, near and far! While some are busy with preparations other greet newcomers. And they do arrive, children inclusive! It was to be a modern wedding, and it was very neat! The groom and bride (Jack is in the left in the picture). Speeches - amplified, of course, with a powerfull PA system. Then the buffet, and a delectable one it was! There were not enough chairs, but that was neither expected nor resented - the food was plentiful and delicious, and that was more important! The drinks followed food, and they were enjoyed by everybody, too! Ah, one for you there with the camera! Just observing... at the moment, that is! The party went on and on, with dances, drinks, food, more dances and more drinks... But the band had to leave the next day and packed its gear onto wakid. Normally used in rice fields and for daily chores, the wakid is extremely versatile... ... it can carry just about anything... ... anywhere! The return path was slippery, to put it nicely. At least there were no leeches. But that is a different story!
